Job Title:    Engineer/Associate Engineer III

Band/Level:  07/Level 4      Salary Range:  $49,921 - $82,109

Location:      Central Office – Engineering & Planning Division

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection, and at least three (3) years of direct design engineering experience. General knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, and facilities planning is necessary. Familiarity with State laws, regulations, and codes pertaining to health care facilities is important.

Additional Requirements: Position requires registration as a South Carolina Professional Engineer, and a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Expected Duties & Responsibilities: This position will perform management level functions including engineering design, construction procurement, site visits, construction reports, and project coordination to assure life safety aspects of construction work while ensuring all pertinent laws, codes, and regulations are followed.
